Terms and Conditions when hiring a vehicle from SaClassics.com

  1. Rates are charged from a minimum of 2 Hrs hire time
  2. Rate / hour include chauffeur (driver) from time of pick-up to time of drop-off.         
  3. If the charter/booking exceeds the quoted / Invoiced Hrs an exrtra rate per hr as indicated on quote / invoice may be charged 
  4. If the trip/booking exceeds the quoted / Invoiced kilometers an extra cost per kilometer may be charged.
  5. Bookings will only be accepted via e-mail and will only be secured for your event once the booking fee as per invoice is paid (ref point 7.1)
  6. changes to your event ( pick up times or change of addresses ) to be confirmed with us via Email. (Please note that this could result in extra charges should the distances differ significanty from your original quoted price.)
    1. To confirm and secure your booking a non-refundable retainer Fee of 30% of the total fee as per invoice (as indicated in the quote/invoice as the ‘booking fee’) is due within 3 days after the client has made the booking (unless otherwise stated on invoice).Should the date of the event change or if the event/booking is cancelled by the client, the Retainer Fee will be non-refundable as SACLASSICS will be deferring other potential clients for the date in question for a vehicle.
    2. If no deposit payment is made on the day stated as per invoice the booking will automatically be cancelled (unless otherwise arranged with SACLASSICS via email ).
    3. The balance of the fee charged has to be paid 7 days before the event.
    4. Payment is to be made in full If the booking for your event is made less than 10 days before your event date.
    5. Please take note : We do not except cash payments on the date of the event
  8. Please observe our non - smoking policy in the vehicles
  9. No Alcohol to be consumed in vehicle whilst driving as per South African Law .
  10. No Stickers, adhesive wrapping or numberplates to pe pasted to the vehicle without the Chauffeur’s/Owner/Owners representitive’s permission .
  11. The Client is responsible for guests/passengers and assumes full financial responsibility for any damages to vehicle caused by client or guest/passenger whether by accident , neglect or intent
  12. We assume no responsibility for articles left in the vehicle/s. Our Chauffeurs and SAClassics not responsible for any damage or loss incurred.
  13. Our Chauffeurs may terminate the charter/booking at any time , without refund if they deem the client ( or their guests ) unruly or endangering the safe operation of the vehicle .
  14. Our Chauffeurs and SAClassics are not responsible for illegal acts committed by the client or their guests during the charter.
  15. Only the amount of passengers as contracted on invoice are allowed per vehicle as our passenger liability insurance will not cover additional passengers.
  16. Please note that SAClassics reserves the right to substitute the specific cars quoted/invoiced for with similar alternative vehicles in the event of an occurrence beyond our control .
  17. SAClassics will not be responsible for any delays or inconvenience due to :
    1. Public disturbance, riots etc
    2. Traffic (accidents, Road Blocks or peak hours ) 
    3. Unfavorable road and/or weather conditions
    4. Unforseen machanical failures
    5. Situations deemed an "Act of God"
  18. Cancellations to be made via email to be valid.
  19. Cancellation charges :(% of fee to be paid back if you cancel the event)         
    • BOOKING FEE – NON REFUNDABLE ( please refer to point 7.1 )

( % of fee to be paid back of full payment if full payment was made more than 7 days before the event date )      

  1. More than 30 days prior to booking - 30% cancellation fee (70% of FULL Payment will be paid back )
  2. 29 to 22 days prior to booking - 40% cancellation fee (60% of FULL Payment will be paid back )
  3. 21 to 15 days prior to booking - 50% cancellation fee (50% of FULL Payment will be paid back )
  4. 14 to 8 days prior to booking - 75% cancellation fee (25% of FULL Payment will be paid back )
  5. 7 days prior to booking - 100% cancellation fee (0% of FULL Payment will be paid back )             

20. Payment of the 30% booking fee as per invoice implies that the customer (or his agent) have read ,understand and agrees to the terms and conditions as stated above.
